Stripped the velvet

So you may have seen what I posted earlier today. If not I will skip the humiliating details. I just spent a few ours stripping the rotting velvet off my antlers. 98% clean. What can I use to get them totally clean and down to the bone and what should I use to stain and seal them? Where can I find some instruction on all three? Just need a little more help and I promise that I won't make this mistake again.
Thanks,
Rookie move

Put them in a bucket of water for a couple weeks

The contained blood needs to leech out. Adding a little salt to the water will help the process. Then hang them out to dry. You'll likely have to take steel wool to them and may have to stain them slightle as the natural shedding of the velvet and rubbing trees does that on live deer.

BTW Ryan, thanks for the chuckle

I LMAO when I saw your "Georgie Porgie" remark. The "blind pig" remark was analogous and not directed at you personally.
