Information on correct tanning for mounting an alligator

I am looking for information or suggestions for the best way have an alligator hide tanned or preserved for mounting. Also when skinning the alligator does one leave the top of the skull attached to the hide as a fish mount or is it removed? Any help with this critter is welcomed.

Hello Bob...I just had a Croc tanned 13 ft. from New Method and am going to do a life-size mount. You need to get the reptile and Amphibian Manual from McKenzie or Van Dykes. It has a step-by-step for mounting an Alligator. When skinning leave the skull attached. Any thing else I can do for you let me know.
