Gladwin, Michigan, is the home to Frank Newmyer, one of the most influential wildlife artists of the late twentieth century. His many accomplishments include being the "winningest" taxidermist of all time, with a record eight world championship titles, as well as almost singlehandedly elevating the art of bird taxidermy to its current level of artistic expression. Frank is also a sculptor, author, inventor, seminar instructor, and respected judge. His studio in Michigan is also home to his extensive aviary of bird specimens for live study.
