If you want an excellent way to learn more than you
thought possible in a few short days, make a date to attend a taxidermy
convention in your area. You'll see examples of innovative, artistic taxidermy
work in the competition, learn about the latest techniques in the seminars,
and enjoy the fellowship of meeting new friends with similar interests.
Attending a convention is the BEST way to see what the world of
taxidermy is all about. This symbol indicates an NTA sanctioned event. To earn NTA Award of Excellence points and National Certification points, competitions must be affiliated with the National Taxidermists Association.
Before making plans to attend any
of these conventions, you should check with the contact person for any
changes. Be sure to recheck this page at a later date. Almost every state
has an annual taxidermy competition, and the dates for some have not yet
