They think your rights are wrong...Tell them your rights aren't what's wrong.
John Jackson--Conservation Force

If you've got friends that aren't members of the NTA, or your state association is not currently affiliated with the NTA, please pay attention to the following information because this is important. If we don't get their attention now, you can bet it will get their attention later, after it's too late.

These days, it doesn't take long for the anti-hunting cancer to spread from one state to another. In 1990, California taxidermists and sportsmen battled animal rights extremists who ultimately succeeded in banning the hunting of mountain lions in the state. Then, Arizona taxidermists and sportsmen faced a similar fight, but with far more sweeping and dangerous consequences. A group called Arizonans for Safety and Humanity on Public Lands secured enough voter signatures on a petition to bring hunting and fishing statewide to a vote. Remember, this turned into Proposition 200.

The NTA was there to contribute...thanks to its members.

There are a few that do not want to be "political." There are many that are apathetic when it comes to protecting our rights as taxidermists. For 29 years, the NTA has been the leader in defending our rights to practice taxidermy. As our association grew, so did our needs to become more involved in Washington. And today, thanks to many of you who attend our convention and participate at our auctions, and mail in contributions with your renewals, we're so much more than just the guardian of your taxidermy rights.

*We are your fellow taxidermists dedicated to defending and bringing honor and professionalism, along with promoting quality taxidermy and education.

*We're involved with volunteer lawyers, lobbyists, NTA members, SCI, Congressional Sportsmens Caucus and Conservation Force to keep us in business.

*We're artists dedicated to preserving America's wildlife.

*We're the NTA!

Each individual has the freedom to pick and choose which organizations they wish to belong to. When taxidermists are not members of the NTA the first question that comes to mind is, "Which organizations do you belong to? What do they do to keep you in business?"
