2019 World Show Registration Information and Prices

Host Hotels

University Plaza Hotel Hotel (across the street from the Springfield Expo Center, on 5333 S John Q. Hammons Parkway, Springfield, MO 65806: $102.00 per night plus tax (two beds or king) including two breakfast buffets. This hotel is the location for the seminars and the Awards Banquet. Call 417-864-7333 and ask for the group rate for the World Taxidermy Championships.

Update: We were informed January 25th that the Host Hotel for the WTC, University Plaza Hotel, is sold out for the nights of May 1, 2, 3. There are still a few rooms available for April 29, 30 and May 4 and 5.

We were informed January 25th that our overflow hotel, the Holiday Inn Express & Suits, has changed it name to the Q Hotel & Suites. The management and phone number are still the same. There are plenty of rooms available at this time, but you must call to reserve a room. Call direct 417-862-0070  tell them the group code is WTC. The rooms are $102.00 per night and include breakfast. The Hotel is located three Blocks downhill from the Expo Center, location of the World Championships.

Registrations and Awards Banquet

Select from three main registrations. All three allow access into the Trade Show, Competition Areas (when open), and eligibility to compete in the respective competition associated with the registration. The Taxidermy Registration allows access into the taxidermy seminars. The Carving Registration allows access into the carving seminars. The Combination Registration allows access into both taxidermy and carving seminars.

Spouse/Family Pass:
With any Primary Registration, you can purchase additional, Secondary Pass(es)/Badge(s) for your spouse or other immediate family members more than 12 years old (12 and under are free). Each badge is good for all 5 days of the show and allows access to the competition area and the trade show (when areas are open). It does not allow you to compete nor to attend any seminars. $65.00 before April 1, 2015, or $85.00 thereafter.

For this fee you will be issued a one-day registration pass (badge) good for access into seminars and trade show (when open Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday), and to view the competition area (when open Thursday or Friday).

World Show Awards Banquet

World Championships Awards Presentation & Banquet: Friday, May 3, 2019
The WTC Awards Presentation and Banquet will offer dinner with a cash bar. All major awards will be presented, including the presentations of $30,750 in cash competition prizes at the University Plaza Hotel Convention Center. This is the most prestigious awards ceremony in the world for the taxidermy industry. Proper attire is strongly recommended. (Cocktails: 6:00–7:00, Dinner: 7:00–8:00, Awards Show: 8:00–11:00.) $45.00 per person.

Banquet Seating: There will be ten seats to each table, each at $45.00. We will place you at the first available table. You will not be able to choose the table, however, you CAN choose who sits with you — IF you buy those people’s seats when you buy yours. Your tickets will be all numbered to correspond with a table number and will be in your packet to give out. Tables will have prominent numbers and we will have the banquet staff ready to help you find your table and take up the tickets. Feel free to call us if you have any questions: 800-783-7266.

Competition Entry Fees: Taxidermy and Fish Carving

At previous World Shows, record-numbers of entries resulted in long lines. You can avoid this situation by registering your entries early. You will also save money by registering early. You do not have to tell us what species your entries are when registering early. We only need to know how many entries and in which divisions you wish to enter.

  Masters Division, Collective Artists and Live Sculpting
  $45.00 before April 1, 2019, or $50.00 thereafter.

  Best All-Around Competition
  $35.00 before April 1, 2019, or $40.00 thereafter.

  Entries in All Other Taxidermy Divisions:
  $35.00 before April 1, 2019, or $40.00 thereafter.

  Fish Carving Entry Fees
  $35.00 before April 1, 2019, or $40.00 thereafter.

  Electrical Hookup for Each Entry
  If an entry requires an electrical hookup, the facility charges a
  $50.00 technician fee to bring an outlet to your entry.

Cancellations: If you must cancel, notify the WTC in writing. If received in this office before April 1, 2019, 50 percent will be refunded. After Apr. 1, 2019, no refunds. Hotel registrations are not included.
