I'm very saddened to pass along the information of Robert's passing today. Robert came out to work for us in October or November from Oregon. He was a hoot to be around and seemed like the brother I never had. He got along great with everyone in the shop. He was just getting over the flu and pneumonia. Or so we thought. Still not sure if that was what it was or if there were some signs missed. He had a massive heart attack just after lunch today. He was 43 years young and left us way to early. He was a very talented taxidermist and two time World Champion. I was looking forward to traveling and rooming with him to the World Show in May.

Damn, So sorry to hear this.  I have always admired Robert's work. I am glad I had the pleasure to meet him, just recently, he stopped by the shop on the way to North Dakota. Great guy, and after the few minutes we spent together I felt like I had known him for years. So sad, my condolences to his family and friends.

this is another very tough one for us to lose. Bob came and spent some time with Barb and I just before the last world show. It was no coincidence that I did well. Bob taught me some techniques in modeling and painting that I could have never figured out on my own. He was the best I ever saw at building mouth parts from scratch. Bob was a funny dude and I really enjoyed his sense of humor. He would call my cell phone and pose as this character named Richard Cranium. I only wish I had saved those messages. "Burly" aka Bob could do things with All Game that would blow your mind. I have a piece of his in my collection as well as one of Chris Barnhart's mounts. You never really know when your number will be called. Being prepared is paramount. Bob, I am going to miss you. Till we meet again.
