Hard to get a good picture with the acrylic case over them. At least with my photography skills

A favorite of a lot of duck hunters, a drake pintail. I love mounting them when they are prime. Enjoy, Paul. 20200524_221143.jpg

A nice late season drake gw teal. Usually they are not around at the end of the season. I got lucky shooting this prime specimen. The side pockets were the nicest that I have had the chance to mount. Lots of feathers to work with. 20200526_210906.jpg

A lot of great work here. I could only wish to create birds that looks as good! Maybe one day if I ever retire... I will have the time to really work on my skills.

  15. I will second that. With my age, shaky hands and arthritis I don't see me getting great at this art.

    Brooke,
    Please check PM. Thanks.

For those wondering, the PM notification on here isn't working lately.

Trapper2016 Thanks for this awesome forum!

I have been trying to get better at birds and have finished up a few in the past couple weeks. The toucrow was interesting and I have some ideas for another one in the future. A cool concept though. The woodcock was way out of my league but it was my first attempt at one for myself so I gave it a shot and ended up screwing it up so I turned it into a dead mount. Awesome birds everyone.
