Trying To Dispose Of Old Pickle, Having Trouble Neutralizing?

For the most part it’s normal, but pour that into a trash can and fill with water then it should dilute it then put a little more baking soda in it and u should be good

 

spray it on your weeds , they will be gone all summer

 

I discovered this inadvertently. I use it on my gravel driveway. It was more effective than round up and since it was a waste product, free!

Not really, pH is a logarithmic scale. If you add 9 gallons of distilled water to 1 gallon of an acidic solution the pH will raise 1 unit..

Baking soda is inexpensive. Buy a box, around 25 cents if you buy a name brand, dump the entire box in..then dispose after it stops foaming..

 

So if u put 1 gal in a 25 gal trash can and filled it , it would move it 3 points as I said dilute it Yes . Then add you Bsoda and done .

 

Actually, it would theoretically only change 2.5 units not 3, all other things being equal.


The amount of baking soda you add will do the same thing to the 1 gallon solution as it will to the 25 gallon dilute solution.. 1 equivalent of base will neutralize 1 equivalent of acid...whether it is in 1 gallon or 25 gallons...

All joking aside, don't pour it down the drain if you have a drainfield.
