    WA wraps his own forms. So if you want something like this, you are going to have to wrap it, or alter another form.

    I kinda figured so, just didn't know if someone would have a mold like this on here or something. Thanks for responding I greatly appreciate it.

    I don't know a whole heck of a lot about making molds for forms, I have done alterations to form. When you say wrapping are you referring to making a form from scratch and wraping with string?

    Wrapping a form basically involves using excelsior and string to make a mannikin.
    There is a large thread pinned on the mammal page. Unfortunately some of the pictures are missing.

    Wrapping a mannikin is an art form in itself, and the reality is few can really do it justice. I would not consider wrapping a bobcat for your first. Buy a form and alter it.

    Absolutely! I agree, I would nt even attempt wrapping unless I practiced it a ton. I've tried carving a time or 2 and that's hard enough. If I had more time on my hands I might consider making my own forms but for the time being I have to buy them. I do hope that one day in the future I can be a master at form making tho afterall what's a taxidermist if he cant make forms.

    I remember trying to wrap forms when I was twelve years old. I don't even know if they had forms back then! The only supply catalog I had was the J. W. Elwood catalog. I didn't even know Van Dykes existed yet. Yeah, we are talking about those good old Northwestern School of Taxidermy, dollar a month courses! I got ok with squirrels but anything bigger, lets say I need a lot more practice. Whew, thank goodness for forms.

    If only I could mount a martin in 16 and a half minutes!

    That's awesome! He is talented! How does he make the foam slick and shiney before mounting?

    It looks like the form is wrapped with shrink wrap. I do that with excelsior wrapped forms.

    That's what I thought it looked like, but i thought it looks to flawless to be shrink wrapped but i guess it is
