Bleaching Raccoons Cinnamon?

I made a deer white once , it was mounted already, I took and mixed basic white with 20volume peroxide to a paste, then with rubber gloves I rubbed it all over and into the hair , then wrapped it in clear wrap for few hours , then unwrapped and let it dry till next day , brushed out . It was pretty white but I had to do it a second time . Then it was real white , I did a quick shampoo wash and rinse after , not letting the hide get to wet just the hair . Then I blew it out with pet dryer . I would think with a coon and the color your looking for you could do the same but at shorter times , you could probably just paste it without wrapping and let it dry and brush out . Once or twice shampoo and blow out after .But I’m sure once will give you that cinnamon look.

 

It is a bleaching powder made to dye hair white , you can get it at like Sally’s hair supply or any beauty hair supply chain

Im sure you could color the hide after tanning but before mounting, the longer it stays on the whiter it will get so just keep an eye on it

 

I bleach my own hair white, so I have some amount experience in the area- the whitening ingredients tend to cancel the orange tones you might be looking for to make a cinnamon, maybe just regular hair bleach instead of something specifically for making white?

 

From experience the mixture of peroxide baking soda and dawn, used for getting the skunk smell out of a dog's fur will lighten black fur so I guess you could probably keep applying it u until you get the desired look.
