2001 NTA Competition Judges:
Whitetails - Marcus Zimmerman
Marcus along with wife Lorraine and their four children live in central Pennsylvania. He owns and operates one of the largest taxidermy studios on the east coast, which specializes in big game. Marcus began his career in 1982 and has studied with some of the industries most accomplished artists. With years of experience and his one-on-one training he feels he can bring knowledge and familiarity to the competitor.

Large Mammals and Gameheads - Jody Green
Jody has captured numerous awards with his unique style of gamehead and mammal mounting. Jody's extensive knowledge of wildlife will allow NTA competitors a detailed learning experience.

Waterfowl - Danny Owens
Danny and wife Kim live in Lubbock, Texas. Due to the abundance of waterfowl and upland game on the Texas South Plains, Danny has taken full advantage and studied these birds in their natural habitat. Danny has received the NTA Award of Excellence in birds, and has won numerous awards for his relaxed and realistic mounts.

Small Mammals - Darin Flynn
Darin has been practicing taxidermy at Flynn's Forms and Taxidermy Studio in Louisiana since the age of 12. He has competed numerous times at NTA conventions winning the Henry Wichers Inchumuk Award twice as well as North American Small Mammals Champion. He has received the Judges Best of Show at the World Championship in 1995.

Upland Game Birds - Jim Pitts
Jim Pitts is an accomplished artist and enjoys sharing his knowledge of birds and waterfowl. His relaxed manner and attitude make it rewarding and entertaining when competitors speak with him. Jim has won numerous awards for his unique waterfowl mounts and was the recipient of the 2000 National Champion Waterfowl for a beautiful cinnamon teal.

Coldwater Fish & Warmwater Fish - Dennis Arp
Dennis has been a full time taxidermist for over 15 years. His first blue ribbon was in 1986 at his first competition. Since that time Dennis has won nearly 100 ribbons, along with 30-35 best of category awards on birds and fish. Dennis received the NTA Award of Excellence in birds and fish in 1990.

Reptiles - Terry Rheinlander
Terry is known for his outstanding reptile mounts and is a two-time winner of the TTA Best All Around in '94 and '96. He is the recipient of the NTA Award of Excellence and won the NTA National Champion Reptile in 1997 and the NTA North American Champion Reptile in 1998.
