Sitka Blacktail deer question

I have just taken in a Sitka Blacktail deer from Kodiak Island. The forms available are very limited and I was wondering what the difference in anatomy was between this deer and a Northern Whitetail? Are their facial features close to the same? Looking at pictures, it looks like they may have a shorter nose?

 

I'm thinking that they are looking a little more like a mule deer then a whitetail. I'm thinking about using a mule deer form to get closer to the size I need without having to do major alerations. Any thoughts??????
