  3. my rarest skull is one i recoverd from an old inherited bengal tiger head mount, the skull is much to small to be a tiger i believe it may be a leopard, but i dont have any pics yet as my camera is broke but when i do ill post them

Whales, dolphins, seals, sea turtles, polar bear, kodiak bear, tiger, leopard, a miniature horse, some monkeys and a black bear that was shot in the head and survived till the next season. I guess those would be my more unusual ones.

Picture here is of a pilot whale and a minke whale skulls

Fisnfule .. actually, both are as done as they can be. The minke whale, which is about 4 feet long, has been hanging from a rafter from a chain for a long time. When I was young and stupid, I thought that it would be neat to have it a light tan stained color. I touched it in a few spots with wood stain ... and you can see the results. Bad idea and not something that can be properly fixed. The pilot whale skull was cleaned in the 60's. It has been re cleaned twice and still has grease in it. This will be a candidate for ammonium hydroxide I think, if I can ever find some. This last cleaning I epoxied the teeth in instead of glue. The minke whale was buried in a dune for a year before I excavated it. It's free of oil and actually very clean other than the stupid wood stain. It just needs a wash to get all the dust and dirt off of it. The pilot whale was cleaned by hand ... and is still loaded with oil. Wolves and coyotes are a lot easier and less labor intensive to clean. :)

Just a muntjac, but I think they are so cute! Want a Chinese water deer, but they are harder to find.

I also have a female roe deer with buttons. For all I know it's just a button male, but I managed to get it for a very good price along with a nice six point male roe. I haven't encountered too many deformed skulls but I am always looking out for them!

Darkblood ... this beast is now mine. It hurt too.

These critters show up on eBay on a regular basis. It's where I just snagged this one. A real good one will be pricey though. The same seller also has 3 Muntjacs now and will be putting up 2 more water deer skulls.

  17. I guess somebody did that thing a favor...unless it died of natural causes.

The most unusual skull I have is a nutria, which should be finished this weekend.
