Yep. That is exactly the point I made in another thread where someone was asking what we thought about a particular South African firm. I looked up their website, and pulled a few examples of what they say is their best work to post in my response, and there was plenty wrong and "just not right" with those mounts.

Hell, I had that happen to a regular client, right here in the states! He was quoted a lower price -- first warning bell -- for a shoulder mount Elk. Okay, how bad could they f--k that up? PLENTY! Not only that, but by the time the shipping was figured in, he spent around $150.00 more than if he had come back to me in the first place. Plus, he had a mount he was extremely unhappy with, and that is no longer on his wall. He did bring me his previous year's Elk trophy, and that baby is still on his wall, and looking good! And that was mounted about 15-years ago or so.

Quality will always tell, and quality Taxidermy will stand the test of time. Whenever a client balks at a price I explain this to them and remind them of the old axiom "You get what you pay for" and that usually seals the deal.

Looks like the Taxidermist put his smile on the mounts, the same one he had when he laughed his way to the bank!!!!

 

WOW On the bright side they would make great outdoor halloween decorations.

 

When people complain about price just show them these pics.

WOW, I have showed a few friends this horrible situation, the only thing I got from this was how happy I am and how my stuff turns out, makes me feel so much better about myself. That stuff is wrong, I hope it turns out for the best for the guy.
