you'd almost have to figure out what your rent is running you, then what the payments would be on the taxes if you took out a loan to purchase the shop.
If the payments are cheaper...there's your answer...then it would be YOURS and you wouldn't have to worry about that happening again!!

that would be great. The landlord was paying $1,500.00 a month for his mortgage. we couldnt afford that with just starting out, we have only been in business for about 2 and a half years. Everyone keeps telling me that this happend for a reason and something better will come along.....i hope. :)

Maybe the reason is.......because the dude never payed his taxes.

animalxii, I believe you live in NY, but I've run into hard times myself and I've got my log home 5 acres and a large 40x50 taxi shop up for sale in Alabama. Anyway, my shop is open for you to come and use at no cost to you if you need a place to work on your stuff until you get a place. Call or pm Joe 251-248-2609. ;D

In his defense, if my taxes were $30,000 per year, I wouldn't pay them either.

Why don't you check with the Tax Assessor about your situation?...the next owner will probably be looking for a tenant.

They will most likely auction it off cheaper than what he owes in taxes. You can allways make an offer to them and see if they take it. Just an idea.

That's exactly what I was thinking Bobbi. I live in Mass. and it's nickname is Taxachusettes, and the taxes here aren't even that high, unless it's a warehouse. ???

lol im not to sure of his situation but he pays around $12,000.00 a year. but he also has to pay interest and legal fees and all that crap. We talked to him yesterday he said that its not going to happen fast, maybe in a few months. so we have alittle time left.
