How about adding a reference section to the list ??? ??? ???

That is if people are willing to come off of them.

Deadwood...reference pictures have their own section. If you go to the taxidermy.net forum home page: http://www.taxidermy.net/forum/index.php and scroll down to where the deer, lifesize, birds, mammals & reptile topic are, you'll find sections labeled _______ reference photos. See attachment. ;)

It's the whole site hillis...the whole site is just amazing. And to think that we don't have to pay to come here, that makes it even more amazing. Remember that when you go to buy something that most suppliers carry...shop WASCO first...;)

Edit...misspelled "remember"...had to fix it. ::) OCD for spelling is a PITA. :D

Hi fowl. Let me teach you how to use the "Advanced search" option. The tab for it is to the right of the normal "search" box.

When you click on "Advanced search" it will take you to this page: http://www.taxidermy.net/forum/index.php?action=search;advanced

On that page, type the word "rabbit" or "bunny" or "cottontail" or "itsy bitsy teeny weenie yellow polka dot bikini" in the "Search for" box. Leave the rest of the settings the same...time parameters between 0 & 9999 days...by any * user...<b>but do click on the "Choose a board to search in, or search all" spot.</b>

Unclick "Check all". Then check mark the "tutorials" section. Or if you want to search in Beginnners, or Lifesize Mammals, click there...or if you're looking for information about, say the virtues of Krowtann vs JRTS ;D you'd click on "Tanning". ;)

Then click "Search". That will give you all of the threads within certain categories that use the term you searched for.

By typing "Rabbit" in the search box, and using only the tutorial section, I found two threads that will help you.

I don't see any tutorials that are directly about cottontails, but the methods used in those tutorials are sound and will serve you well. Be aware that cottontail skin isn't very tough in my humble opinion and it'll serve you well to have 2-3 specimens to work on. If you make a mistake on the first one, don't throw it out. Keep using it...learn all you can from it, then do better on the next one.

Good luck and have fun! ;)
