    ANYONE know what the heck it is? It's scaring me...and I'm not even in water or nothing. :-[ :-\ :p :eek:

    Japanese...so I won't have to worry about this critter showing up in my trout stream? :eek:! LOL

    Btw...now that I know they exist...I would <b>LOVE</b> to mount one of these critters! ;D It must be dead...deader than dead when I get it though or I'd be standing on the table. That thing is just creepy.

    I googled "japanese giant salamander" and these things can get up to SIX FEET long?!?! HOLY FREAKIN' COW! They're CITES protected too. :( Oh well.

    ive caught a few hellbenders, they are harmless and very interesting salamanders.
