I got this deer in this morning. I was hoping to hear from some of you guys that have experiance with these. I'm assuming I have to cut pretty much all of the skull plate through the top of the eyes? There is probly going to be some form alteration in that area too. This is starting out to be a good year for my first year in buisness. I've got 12 deer in total, 8 came in over the weekend. They are really starting to hit the ground here in Iowa.

Diamondhitch I hunt therefore I am.

Instead of cutting it off square I would just cut it off in a V and carve out my form between the eyes.

Just cut it closer to the eye socket and cut away foam on form. The woods I hunt in N.J. has the same antlerd buck, got em on buddies trailcam.

Another question. When I mount it will the hide paste on the forehead be enough to keep the hide down around the unicorn horn or will I have to use and epoxy or something?

I would stitch a string around the inside edge of the burr hole, and like a belt, cinch it tight to the base of that burr, with regular hide paste.
