    Anyone notice the different ear positions on the feeding young buck? Notice that the ears are back but they can be rotated to pick up noise from in front of the deer. If the head were up and you mounted it with the ears in that position, I'll bet that most people would tell you that a deer can't do that with it's ears.

    I noticed that as well and was thinking the exact same thing. It was interesting to watch the ear movement as he was eating.

  6. I agree about the ears, if you competed with earbutts that low you would get dinged, my last mount the judge said my ear butts were to low HA! HA! HA!
     
  7. i was thinking the exact same thing as i was watching the deer eat and was watching the ears move i was like ding, ding, ding yellow flag ears can't do that. lol but it's crazy how far they can go

    the first link......watch really close when there is about 25 seconds left and he starts eating from the tree.....i see eyes rotating!! Great reference
