I dont know if anyone knows this or uses this but I figured I would chip in with a little tip since i discovered one and I have glened so much form this site.

anyway I was playing around with my airbrush and when I went to clean everything off i realized i did not have any cleaner or paint thinner. so i decided to give some good ol windex a try and hey! what do ya know it worked extremely well. and the best part is windex is alot cheeper then other specialty stuff you could buy out there.

    Thanks DD12,
What kind of paint were you using. I assume that would work well on water-based paints, but I wouldn't have guessed it to work on laquers.

  3. ammonia and water is all you need.

I always use windex, or the generic equivalent, when I use acrylics.
It's amazing how well it works. It will even loosen up dried up spills and etc in just a few moments.

it was a laquer based paint that i was using to repaint my decoys. im thinking it is the ammonia that does the trick
