my first attempt at mounting a coyote, critique

    this is my first attempt mounting a coyote feel free to critique. this is my 5th animal total 2 deer, 2 bobcats and 1 coyote. thanks for looking.

    did you paint the nose and lip line ; or just leaved it the color of the plastic .

    I painted it. I used burnt umber with 3 drops of another color brown to lighten it a bit. I forgot what color it was exactly. I used the same color on the eyes and I used it on the nose then sprayed straight burnt umber over the nose lightly. Then I put a clear finish over all to make it look wet.

    The one thing I don't like about the lip cast thing is that the tongue was formed to rest way too far back in the mouth. It needs to be about an inch further forward. Also the next open mouth I do will have a marbled look {white,pink and dark brown} inside the mouth on the gums and such. been looking over the dead coyotes picture I have and not one was a solid color.

    thanks for all the great comments. you are all way too generous. I see many flaws. I'll try and do better on the next one. My wife killed a white one a couple of years ago that is next on my list for her B'day..
