big walleye eyes.

    my walleye has 31 mm eyes and i cant find anyone who carries them that large. please help! thnx

    How big is your walleye? Build up the scraral band with epoxie sculpt, 31mm seems a bit big. Van Dykes sells a 28mm eye with a reflective pupil (nice eye). Hope this helps.

    Did you measure the eye when you removed it or are you measuring your socket opening now that it's ready to put an eye in the mount?

    i measured the socket. i could be doing it wrong i am a little new to this still. :-\

    I would think a 24-26 mm would work.

    Just fish is about right with the 24-26. I'd say 24 would be the right size. That's a 10-11 pound fish around here and the eyes don't vary that much.
