Thanks! I noticed that one in your shop pic! Was that deer killed locally? The one I did was killed here in South Alabama, and the guy wanted me to do this custom table with the fence post to fit behind a couch in the corner. It also has swivel rollers recessed in the legs, so it is easy to move around.

  3. Tagging it for later.

RoyalOaksRanch Royal Oaks Taxidermy- When Quality Counts...

LOL I really used to be anal about cleaning up my shop, sweeping every day, wiping down tables and such...
With my pending divorce I had to move to to get away from my ex so my 1500 sq ft shop turned into a 200 sq ft ft garage.. it is IMPOSSIBLE to keep it clean looking. It is nice to know Im not the only one working in a cluttered up area :) It still bugs me that it stays so cluttered and dirty looking but Im thankful I have even a small place to work for now... Some day Ill be able to go back to being anal in a big shop LOL but until then I am happy in my little mess :)

Clean enough to be healthy, messy enough to be happy.
    Striking a balance is key.
Fussing over it too much takes away from life, IMO.

  8. Matt, here's is my little 16x20 work space.

it seems like some of you folks are working in your basement,, just curious How did you get a Cemmercial Taxidermy Licence to operate out of Basement ?
Or maybe its ok in the States .. since its a No No in Canada .. unless its a Hobby.
    Just curious.

falco, it depends on the state, and often the county you live in, but as a general rule you are allowed to operate a taxidermy business out of the home.

Alright, here are a couple, the first is of my mess...and the second is some stuff drying. The rest of the drying heads are around the corner.
