Some good looking stuff on here this week!!!

Here's a bruiser I have been needing to post for a few weeks. Between the shop, the woods and family I haven't had much time for pictures.

I don't know official score, but it's in the 200" neighborhood.

Caribou i just finished. The guy shot it in Alaska back in 1997. He kept the salted Hyde in a trash bag all that time. I sent it to the Tannery and it came back fine.

A big S.C. deer with a messed up rack. Would have been 23 in. inside if both sides matched! Good looking work this week!

  18. a remount I am working on... decided to make it interesting and reused the form it was mounted on. had to do lots of fixing and altering on it, so it would fit my replacement cape. before you ask why in the hell i didnt just buy a new form, this is one of my deer that i had done with a hackidermist before i started doing taxidermy myself so i decided to just reuse it and learn a few things from it. he used very little hide paste and did very lititle form prep. besides turning the form from a full swell to a very light swell, i had to lengthen the eye to nose and refoam the huge lip slots he cut out of it so i could recut them with a scalpel. i am happy to be able to hang it back up on the wall. it had been hiding in a closet the past few years.
