From Tom Voyer need to come clean!!!!!!!!!!! here we go!!!

Hey Tom I'm going through the same thing, been separated for about a year and a half and should be finalizing things at the end of the year. It was really tough to motivate myself to do the solitary work of our profession, but in fact taxidermy and this site is what took my mind off of everything and got me through it. As they say time heals all and it does get better, and you will reestablish yourself and your life. Good Luck

 

I talked with Tommy a little while ago and he actually is doing pretty good. Just wanted to come clean on some things and feels GREAT that he has now done so. Guess he just needed to purge himself and be honest with everyone about his situation. Our understanding right now is what he needs the most.

Tom, do you need some barbed wire? Been there and done that, Buddy. Look, the first time I got total relief was to tell myself that regardless of what I had to give up, I couldn't and wouldn't give up my talents or my soul. When I reached the realization that the best lawyers couldn't get to that, I was able to look forward. I was also there with the workload. I stopped taking stuff in and called all my clients. I told them my situation and that those who wanted their hides and horns to take someplace else could come get them. You'll be surprised at the number who refuse.

Remember, it's not the LAST straw that broke the camel's back and if you can keep pulling a few straws out of the middle, it will never get a chance to overload him. You can see what it's done to your health. Take a deep breath and laugh at what you've gotten into. I did and I still find time to chuckle. Best wishes.

Tom, It takes a man to come on here and explain your situtation. The botherhood is here for you. Im sure your customers will understand. When I had my heartattack in 05 I did the same as George did. They all understood and just wanted me to recover and take it easy. Your honesty speaks for you. Hang in there and May GOD BLESS you. Better days are forthcoming. Shammy

Keep your head up and keep going. Things will get better for you. I know it is hard but believe me it could be a LOT worse. A LOT WORSE you still have your health, looks like lots of friends, a great gift of taxidermy talent, and a good taxiermy bussiness. You are a lucky man. I have been dealing with a whole lot more. I lost my Dad to cancer this spring and My wife after 37 yrs of a wonderfull ! life together has been fighting for her life after we found out she has cancer. I wont go into how bad it is but I am taking care of her and watching her suffer and struggle, and trying to run a taxidermy shop, taking care of the house and paying the bills, no time for hunting this year. She has been in and out of the hospital from May until now. I dont have time for anyting else. The only break I get is this great Taxidermy Forum. There is some great people on here, It is nice to know there are some good people still around. Seems like the whole world is in a mess of some kind right now. This taxidermy forum is the best thing for me, I can get on here and learn alot, and forget some of my problems. I used to go hunting and fishing and delete things in my head, now I enjoy this. So pick yourself up and live your life. Life is what you make it. Life is short so make everyday count. Good luck to you and I wish you the best

 

it's ok tommy, i still love ya's we all have ups and downs. i'm glad you can see the light, and if there's anything I can do to help PLEASE pm me, email, facebook, anything! except call....nobody can call...cuz remember how we ALL have ups and downs?? well, there ya go! i decided I needed a new tooth more than a cell phone this month lol lol. As long as you lay down every night knowing that you did all you could for the day, everything will work out. Just have faith, and know in your heart that you have support from friends that care!!
