We are going to be shipping a few deer this year, I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on box size(s) I should purchase to put our crates inside. I will be buying these boxes in bulk, so I want to make sure I get the right size(s).
    Thanks

??? Why are you gonna put a crate inside a box ???

That's how I do them as well. Not necessarily a full crate, but a crate frame.

Ok ... I just learned something new. I always just used the cheap grade 1/4 in plywood and built a frame outta 2x2s . I always fiqured since I was shipping a non-replaceable item across the country , It had better be in a damn good box ! :D

    I guess I overkill it a little.

...and putting that in a box somehow makes it less "damn good?"

::) Uh no.... Just a well built crate doesn't need the cardboard box. I thought that's what TTT was talking about doing. Building a heavy crate and then boxing it up in a cardboard box... which would be a waste of time IMO .

I see. Some shipping companies do charge more for crates than they do boxes. Same way with buckets, or anything out of the ordinary.

Didn't know that either . Am glad I chimed in on this post. Will keep that in mind next time I have to ship a head out.
