Here are some photos of a solid top cedar and ambrosia maple base. The form is from Revolution Taxidermy here is WI (AS29A). Finished it is 26" at the ears, 35" at the bottom of the white patch and 39" at the base of the neck. It is like mounting a small elk.

I do not normally like ears forward BUT you nailed this one !!!!! Wow very beautiful mount Rekim . Did you alter the intimidator form to a ped or does Rev offer a ped now? I wouldn't know , they quit sending me a catalog so I quit order'n from them ::) that is a very impressive mount !!!!!!

    Re: PeeDeeDeer Pedetals-End Results!!!!

    Fozzie,

This is a altered form, just converting the wall form to a pedestal. I don't think they have the pedestals in the intimidator series. I have done several with habitat, but wanted my own with a solid top. Now I just have to convince my wife it needs to move into the living room..LOL...no luck yet!

    Thanks guys!

    Fozzie,
I happen to do a far amount of ears forward mounts for my customers. I think the key is to have the ears listening hard forward instead of straight out on the sides of the head. Next, rotate the ears so the ear is slightly listening down. It would be like he is uphill from you and focused on you (down hill). After 3-4 days place in a wall bracket and if not high enough sit in a chair and turn those ears slightly down focusing on your position.

    John,
Thanks again for the awesome bases!
