Still wet deer let me know what you think

Hey man i am no expert on deer, but from what I see that is evident in your fourth pic (eye close up) is that the lids seem too 'straight'. My advise (if it is worth much) is that if you look at your eye side on, make a middle line, the bottom lid of the back half should be lower than the front. Also on the top lid, the front half should be at least 45 degree angle up from the tear duct, then round off and down. and the back corner is slightly too high.
open the bottom lid, balancing your pupil, pull the top lid over the eye slightly and then give him that shape and your entire expression will change.
Also on your second photo, your lower lip seems to be slightly more tucked on the right, maybe balance that out a little...
Just being honest, still not a bad mount!!

I think for your 4th deer you are on the right track. Keep at it and use all the reference you can find. They will keep getting better, if they ever stop looking better then you know you have done something wrong, we as taxidermist never stop learning new tricks! Keep mounting them up my friend!
