Old school way to turn a 7 inch nose into a 7.5 or 7.75 would be to grind out the eye socket on a 7 inch form, and move the eye back and rebuild with clay. Yep. That system will die when the taxidermist that use it will.

Wow, I really don't see how the thing even looked like a deer at all. From all the gaps and wrinkles in the clay work, his head should have looked like the cellulite on the back of a fat lady's legs.

I wouldn't even have it out in the open, it'd give me nightmares for weeks.

  9. I, too, have seen some pretty scary things when doing remounts... Especially on bears. There was a croc that was remounted at a shop I worked for (before my days there) that was stuffed full of sawdust, misc. trash and around 30 beercans. It's almost funny if you think about the way some guys do taxidermy.

I get a kick out of of taxi's that advertise 20, 30 years experience.
So what! 20 years of doing it wrong!

  14. If you guys think that's bad then you aint seen nothing... Those methods of stuffing with clay and all that are still in practise here, why, cause they ignorant and narrow minded... I want to say its childish but unfortunately a child can do better

  15. Think i saw that same deer watching me eat dinner at Coltons steak house the other night!!!!

i can never understand how someone can do work for 20 or more years and still churn out crap

  17. Ha. Like on Jaws. You cut him open and there's a license plate. Seriously, what made that guy think that deer looked good. Maybe he was going for those tumors deer get sometimes. Also, is that mache going down the back of its head?
