    NEED HELP DECIDING. WHAT GROUP BEENFITS MORE THE MTA OR NTA. WANT TO BE A MEMBER WOULD LIKE TO DO BOTH BUT RECENTLY MET ONE OF OFFICERS FOR MTA , VERY DIFFICULT TO TALK TO! YES IAM A NEWBIE, BUT ALSO BUSINESS OWNER IN HVAC INDUSTRY, THIS IS ONLY A HOBBY FOR ME MOSTLY SPARE TIME WORK LOL. I DO WANT TO LEARN THIS ART, BUT I ALSO WOULD LIKE TO BE A MEMBER OF ORGANIZATION OF PEOPLE I CAN TALK WITH.

    Apache, Not sure who you talked to from MTA but any of our officers are usually pretty easy to talk to. Maybe you caught one on a bad day (hopefully it wasnt me!). Feel free to contact me or any of the other officers and we will be happy to get you started in the right direction. The MTA always welcomes new members and we have a lot to offer. We have our annual convention/competition, where you can learn a lot about taxidermy and meet some great people who will help you out. We have quarterly meetings open to all members, an annual crab feast, fund raising events and the opportunity to network with many other taxidermists from beginners to national champions. www.mdtaxidermistsassociation.com

    Apache.....I am neither a member or officer of MTA but I do know they always have had a good organization. Your state association is one of the best stepping stones into the trade of taxidermy and as Dave stated you will have the opportunity to learn so much from what your state association has to offer.

    The best of luck to you as you learn the trade of taxidermy.
