Sonora Mule deer hunt

I hunt Sonora every January for Coues. I'm sure it's more dangerous than it used to be, but we've never had any issue that way. You get more crap from US Customs than anybody when you come back. It's all about paperwork. Check the outfitters references thoroughly.

 

I hunted out of Hermisillo with a client a couple years ago but not with the outfit you have a chance to hunt with. I had a great time and shot a 104" Coues deer. I went along to cape out clients trophies but like I said, it was a great trip. But that might have been because my client paid for my trip and Coues deer. LOL
But like cattrax already said , do your homework.

 

have hunted mule deer out of hermasillo several years ago....had a blast....Outfitter I went through was san miguel out of texas.....probably ranked #2 of all my hunting trips....if someone offers you a flat green pepper...kinda resembling a very large flattened pea pod.....refuse and I mean refuse...you will pay the next day and probably walk a little funny!! LOL..one day my guide and I were out walking.... away from the truck and driver and a very low plane flew over with another plane screaming right behind it....Rapheal (guide) told me first was a drug runner and second plane was drug enforcement agent plane.....he said happened all the time...

 

I hunted down there a few years back by myself with a great outfitter. Took a nice mulie. But, heard many horror stories and... Can be a scary place when you get stopped by MX Feds in black ski masks and machine guns!~
