    I will try to keep this thread updated as I make videos of this progress.

    *I was just informed that (JBird's) wife came up with this idea, Thank you so much and also Jeff told me that using a Black permanent marker for coloring the head of the ruddy drake works better, cause you have absolute control with where the color goes.*

    What color and brand dye did you use ? I might have missed it.


    AWSOME video and am sure a great help to those of us that have been too chicken to try it ourselves.

    'Looks good!
    I think I would have left the wings un-dyed, but the colors that you picked look spot-on!

    I couldn't really tell what color of dye in the video. I didnt want to be accused of advertising for a product on youtube. (weird rules they have)

    but i can do it here. It is Clairol 23R Raspberry creme Medium Auburn

    ;) feathers look ruffled because I just took these pics outside and the wind is real whipping the feathers around.

    I have looked all over the place and I've never found a shot that clearly showed the underside of a ruddy's head!
