Now look what you've done. R.J. was just waiting for a reason to spring! LOL by the way. I have neighbors that philosophically don't like what I do. I really like these people. Some can't figure it out, but it's easy. As a Conservative I support the right to have a personal opinion free from persecution, as long as it does not infringe on the rights of others. Society is in a phase of "choosing up sides" pending the big game. This mentality is permeating everything, including our industry. We have colorful characters in this industry but you don't have to be an interior decorator to know some colors clash! As taxidermists we're all on the same team whether we like it or not. Some of this discussion is valid as it shows the different priorities of different people, but isn't it our differences that makes life so much fun? John and Dennis, I think the world of both of you. Just agree to disagree.

The fishing was a little slower this morning. We've had so much rain this spring it's got the local river fishing pretty screwed up.

Justin, I blame the slow fishing this morning on the full moon!

I'm glad to see this thread got trimmed. Why would anyone intentionally say or do something to hurt someone that isn't even involved in an argument. Sad to see people act the way they do.

Justin, you are really ticking me off. I haven't wet a line since April, and my boat is getting very bored sitting in my driveway. There is a local tourney this weekend, maybe I'll fish in it.

We fished Sam Rayburn yesterday, caught a few dinks. I blame the full moon too
Caught a few more than my wife, that's all that mattered at the time. Until the next time we go and she catches more then everyone hears about it.
I'll get phone calls asking how bad did she tear your butt up.

Love that place. Hope to return someday.

I got second as a co-angler in the Bassmasters Weekend Series on Sat.. Because of poor planning, the FLW was there same day, same ramp and stole a lot of the guys. The payout was about 1/2 normal, but it paid $662 + gallon of oil. Not bad for a day of fishing.

This is still going? It still won't surpass the Bigfoot thread. Just goes to show you what people feel is more important. What's the average cost of a Bigfoot mount? Haven't seen that here yet.

Everyone knows the going rate for a bigfoot, FREE! You do them for free for the publicity. Because once you do a bigfoot everyone will want your skills.

::) ::) ::) ::) George is right! Taxidermist are stupid. Listen up people, I've been at this for 30 years, I know how to lose money!

Think about it people; Skinning. salting, tannery fees!! Just skinning out the fingers and toes would be an all day job. Costume made form on a habitat base. Yeah I know....it fits a bear form perfectly, but they don't want it to look like a bear....(anymore) They want a natural looking bigfoot tapping a tree! Now...think about the interuptions you'll have when it gets out that you have a bigfoot in the shop!

Anything less than 15 grand is just hurting yourself and the industry! Sheeeesh!!!!

What if the customer wants you to do a custom alteration of a Bigfoot stealing a trail cam? Then what do you charge? This business is too confusing. You have to have a price for everything even make believe creatures. Lol
