    trust no one. but don`t feel too bad. I trust folks too and get ripped off on occasion by truSting my fellow man. my wife always says toldja so. I say well that`s why you mARRIED ME, BECAUSE i SEE THE GOOD IN PEOPLE FIRST. THEN i CUSS A BUNCH ABOUT SOME DIRTY SNAKE THAT i TRUSTED AND THEN HE RIPPED ME OFF. THEN i TRUST THE VERY NEXT GUY TOO. AND i KNOW i`LL GET RIPPED OFF AGAIN SOME TIME DOWN THE ROAD. LOOK AT IT THIS WAY, WHO`D YA RATHER BE, HIM OR YOU? THAT SAID, MAYBE HE IS JUST ON VACATION. LOL, BUT i DOUBT IT.

    Thanks Bob! I was hoping to hear your input. If you look at all of his posts, he is a very nice guy and has had great contractions in the past. I am concerned when I send frozen critters. It was there Thursday but cannot imagine why he would not let me know he received. His wife was struggling to get their paypal going and I told him i would send it and he could pay when he could.


    Your advice and wisdom is always appreciated, Bob!

    LOL, PROBABLY YOU SHOULD LISTEN TO SOMEONE ELSES WISDOM OTHER THAN MINE! SERIOUSLY, IT MIGHT ALL BE OK AND HE SENDS THE $. AND IF HE DOESN`T, WELL YOU DID RIGHT AND HE DID NOT. MOST i WAIT FOR THE MONEY UNLESS i NEED TO BEAT A HEAT WAVE ON SHIPPING TIMING, OR AN ESTABLISHED PAST CUSTOMER, OR LONG TERM TRUSTED PERSON ON HERE. 99% OF THE TIME WE ALL DO IT RIGHT. THE OTHER 1%, WELL IT HAPPENS. i LIKE TO DEAL ON A HANDSHAKE AND A MAN`S WORD. IT WILL SURE SEPERATE THE MEN FROM THE BOYS WHEN A GUY OPERATES THAT WAY. YOU FEEL GOOD ABOUT YOURSELF AND SLEEP GOOD AT NIGHT. THE OTHER GUY, WELL HE HAS A BURDEN TO CARRY THAT i`D SURE NOT WANT. SOMETIMES YOU CAN`T EVER GET RID OF THOSE BURDENS AND THAT GETS PRETTY PRICEY ON A MANS MIND .

    BE VERY CAREFUL when contacting others about a debt. If you told the "other person" that the eyeball guy owes you money you may have committed a consumer protection violation. This has to do with debt collectors contacting neighbors and revealing personal information. Of course you are not a debt collector but some state laws go farther than federal debt laws. In Ohio that would be a violation.
    Find a NJ attorney, offer him half, he should be able to prove fraud and get attorney fees on top of everything.

    Another option is NJ small claims court but that means you have to go there

    Marc, I had a similar incident a couple years ago where I "traded" a guy some raccoon skins in exchange for a fisher. Well, I never did receive that fisher and the guy completely disappeared after those raccoons arrived (luckily I had a tracking number on the package so I know they got there within 3 days!) and all attempts to contact him failed. He just stole my pelts and ran away!

    I guess sometimes we all get too trusting of one another and make bad choices on who we deal with--I just took it as a lesson learned and was glad I did not lose any large amount of money. Even still, I could have easily sold those raccoons at full price to another buyer who was interested in the pelts, but like you I went for the first guy who contacted me about them. Nowadays, if I get several inquiries on an item, I sell it to the person who is most actively on the forum and has clear contact information on their profiles. Still no guarantees, of course, but I've never dealt with another thief as of yet!

    Might as well forget about it, you are not going to make the payment arrive by posting wishes. Business is business, payment is always first, shipping the purchased item is last. That is how it works. You let your emotions do the sale backwards. You should eat this one, as you just gave it to them in their eyes.
