  1. When mounting a turkey fan to the wooden piece you mount you hang on the wall. How do you attach the fan to the wall piece? Glue?? Screws? I have everything ready to go, just dont want to mess up..

A screw or nail will work

I bondo my tails, so I drill a hole in the bondo and screw it to the board. Make sure you get ALL the meat and fat off.

  5. Tanglewood, I have all of the meat and fat off of the fan. That is one thing I am very meticulous about.. I have not worked with bondo before, I am still very green behind the ears in using epoxies and bondo. Do you bondo on both sides of the base of the fan of just the back side? Right now the fan is completely dry and stable. I used Borax

George The older I get, the better I was.

One of the very best devised comes from Van Dykes. Those plastic tail holders are tough to beat. It screws to the back of a small plaque sandwiching the fan between it and the panel. The panel van then be used to display the beard and the spurs.

  7. Thanks George! I will be looking into that now!
