Can anyone help me out with some pictures of or a tutorial of how the clay work around the eyes should look on a head down deer like the 64d from McKenzies? Any reference photos would be great also, can't seem to find something like online. TimberlandTaxidermy has a tutorial on eyeset, do the four points of reference still remain the same when the head is in this position?

Mike, the pupil still remains level. The skin remains pretty much the same except the muscles move, just like yours do when you tilt your head down.

Thank You Antlerman. Will have to work on my patience after I figure this out.

It is going to depend on where the focal point is or if it has that blank p'ed off sideways stare. As antlerman said put your head down and look up and forward, your eyebrows raise, do they not?

Yes 3bears, i see what you mean. That answers some of what I need to know. I'm trying for a looking straight ahead point of view. I'll go experiment a bit, see what I can come up with. Thanks.

It is hard to find good reference of this eye position. Joe Meder did an article for Breakthrough a while back, cannot tell you which one because I tore it out and put it in my reference folder, about eye positions. It has some that may help you. Check it out.

I think I have that one now that you mention it. Don't know why I didn't think of that but I'll go check it out.
