Pine Martin

    Several Paine martin for sale. Trapped in the adirondack mts. In New York. All are case skinned, cites tag attached, measurements taken for each. NY wants all the carcasses, thus they are skinned and carcasses nor skulls are available. Asking $80 each. I've got pics but there too big to load, pm if interested and I can send pics, thanks Brian

    Since when do marten require cites tags? Been trapping them here in Alaska a LOOOONG time. Never needed a cites tag, that's for sure. just asking, is all.

    He may be using the term loosely... even in Alaska some units require marten to be sealed with a state seal .... :) I think SE does?

    I'm quite certain that if it is on the CITES list, it requires a tag, regardless of where in North America it is harvested.

    In NY at least they have to be tagged, before being sold or mounted, so I'll use the term sealed/tagged. Didn't mean to confuse people. Brian

    Montana you have to bring em all to Fish and Game to get tagged as well... Same as Bear, Mountain Lion or Bobcat

    Sealed in some states and in parts of Alaska. State seal, not a CITES tag.
