I agree litefeather. It is nice to be able to educate folks. I think people want quality (or at least to get the equivalent for what they paid) but simply don't know what to look for.

Customers are getting wise to what's crap and what's not. Maybe from this site, trail cams, facebook, etc. Hacks better step up their game or they might run themselves out of business. It's about time!

If I'm not mistaken Rick Carter is right around $550, might get a little more bang for you buck from a guy like him..

Was able to get him finished up tonight. Reused ear liners, eyes and cape from original mount.

I wish I could have gotten the pit area tucked more but I had little stretch on this cape. Not sure if it was the glue penetrating from past mount or not. Removing the old stitch line caused me to loose some cape as well but over all I glad it was salvageable

Were they happy this time? I sure hope so. I dont think the other taxidermist's heart was in it is all. Bad taxidermy is just a symptom of a deeper underlying ailment.

I'm sure it wasn't as he's wanting out of the business. I would say if the full amount hadn't been paid two years ago then the results may had been different. I believe in down payments but I do believe full payment upfront can be a issue also. I have turned down full payments in the past as my experience is they want their stuff faster.
