Alligator price

    I have never done an alligator, but Im all for the challenge. I am just trying to get a good idea on what I should charge for the way my client wants it mounted. Custom log, splash scene, all the welding that will have to been done for the support stocks, etc. Also what's a good price for the gator itself without base?

    This is the way he wants it mounted except it won't be going at such a steep angle.

    Just finished one almost identical to that mount but used a woodduck, no need for welding, plywood base for habitat, support board screwed to base and foamed in and gator attached to support board with 2 -5x3/8" lag screws, shipped it from Louisiana to California in two pieces no issues, as for as price 8.5 ft gator x $ 300 per ft $ 2550 duck $250, habitat $575 total $3375, you can see the mount on my website www.allspeciestaxidermy.net

    I get $400 per foot for gators under 10' and $450 per foot for over 10' for just the gator. The habitat I would estimate time and materials and use your hourly shop rate to come up with a figure on that.
