How long should I leave a copperhead skin in the 50/50 Isopropyl alcohol and Glycerin. The skin is 27 inches long. It has been in the mix for 3 days.

What are you going to do with the skin ? Tan or mount ? I use that same mixture sometimes on snakes . You dont have to soak a snake skin in that mixture. Just brush it on and let it soak in some then brush on again till it doesn't soak in .

    Tommy is right .............

The 1:1 mixture of alcohol and glycerine is used as a brush on after shaking the bottle. The glycerine molecules will attach to the alcohol molecules. When applied to the inside of the skin the alcohol will carry the glycerine into the skin. The alcohol will then evaporate, leaving the glycerine in the skin. Soaking will not accomplish this as well.
