Dan Wayne has done a great job on this and I certainly hope it is received well. We need more positive press about taxidermy.

Ken! I'm impressed! You do great work, and I'm proud to have had a "look and see" when you and John worked at the Smithsonian! Good ideas - Great work! I'll always remember you making your smaller versions of the mount and suddenly producing the real thing! Amazing! I consider you an "Amazing Taxidermist"!

Ken, you stated "Dan didn't believe either". Is that to imply he believes now?? I don't think I could ever be convinced until an actual bonafide specimen made its' was into a reputable museum.

Wish I could afford to go to a World's show, and have the vacation time to get off, but full time jobs kind-of get in the way. Can't wait for the release of the whole video - you will need to go on a Movie tour. Like a book tour except they roll out the red carpet at every venue you visit.

 

What a teacher you had to say that. It's a shame that there aren't more like him today. Quite an insightful man.

 

That's really one of my goals for the movie, that people will see the value in that and encourage it. Kids today are discouraged from so many things, they're imposed with too many rules and not allowed to live and learn like most of us were. Combine that with so much time in front of a screen and you end up with what Richard Louv calls Nature Deficit Disorder. I'm hoping this movie will inspire folks to take their kids hunting, hiking, fishing, etc.

We will see.

Thank you all for the kind words. This has been quite a journey. I've learned a lot, made many great friends and had tons of fun. I'll be shooting at the WTC, so please say hello if you're there. I hope to have the film completed by the end of the summer.

It was so cool getting to meet you, and see you in action at George's. I wont be able to make to world show, but somehow, someway....I really need to see Ken's re-creation of Patty. As a firm believer, getting to spend time with You, Ken and George is something I will never forget, and will surely be the highlight of my year.....! Great Job Dan.....!!!

 

It looks like the movie is getting it's first private test screening soon.

 

Looks Fantastic Ken! Can't wait to see it in it's entirety!
