Hello all; I have a customer who wants a real beaver tail mounted for a plague. My question is have any of you used the real tail for any beaver mounts, I have only used replicas. Thanks Ed

I use the real tails, I split the bottom, up through the center from the tip up to the body, flesh it , it's a little trouble around the edges because it doesn't flatten out real easy around the edges. Then I pickle and tan like normal, I use Trubond tanning products. I've used carved foam, and bondo for filler. Not much trouble and look good.
