    No such thing... LOL!
    There are some good ones, though, and you'll learn different things from different DVDs. Each taxidermist has different methods. You'll find some work well for you and some not so well.
    With that said... Matt Smith at BlueRibbonBirdsDVD.com puts out an excellent Wood Duck Secrets DVD and it can be applied to most any bird (standing). It's pricey, however. Stephan Savides (Research Mannikins) puts out a good DVD, Mounting a Flying Waterfowl, among others. I have a Page Nethercutt video from Taxidermy Training Unlimited, Mounting and Finishing A Flying Common Eider that I think is a good video (I would assume his others are as good or better... wood duck standing and a teal flying).
    If I were you and had the funds, I would get one flying DVD and one standing DVD, each a different artist.
    Good luck to you.

    Matt Smith, who used to be on here, has a wood duck DVD on his website, Blue Ribbon Birds, that I would imagine is most exceptional if it is reflective of his work that he posted on here.

    Yes.... Matt Smith's video is VERY good and I would highly recommend it!...
    With that said, it won't teach you about flying position technique
    He does not airbrush the bill... he paints with artist brushes
    He does not take as detailed of measurements as, say, Page Nethercutt
    Etc
    These are not criticisms. I say it simply to point out that there is no "one" DVD that will give you it all.
    His video is a top shelf learning tool, though.
    That guy has magic in his hands, an I right Tanglewood?.... ;)

    I posted this on another thread and I have purchased just about every bird mounting dvd out there. In my opinion, a true beginner would have all the knowledge necessary to go from just starting out to advanced with the three dvd's below. They each show things that complement and build on one another. You can have all the information needed from these dvd's to produce an outstanding mount, but to actually pull it off takes a lot of practice, something I still need!!!

    If a complete beginner, I would recommend for standing mounts in order;

    Tony Finazzo Standing Puddle Duck

    Page Nethercutt Standing Wood Duck

    Matt Smith Standing Wood Duck

    These three have Everything any aspiring bird taxidermist would need. Tony's dvd goes very in depth with great close ups, Page goes in depth too with very good measuring, caulking, grooming, etc., and Matt's dvd shows techniques that will put you over the top!
