I have been putting 5 min epoxy on all my European skulls to hold teeth in. Does regular Elmer's glue work well for this.im hearing people using it for teeth

  2. that's all I have ever used, dries nice and clear. epoxy seems over the top, maybe not for big hog tusks.

I use Super Glue and just put a drop in between each tooth easy, fast and cheap.

Elmer's always. I have specimens that are 40+ years old that I did early on. I used 5 min epoxy on teeth and joints. That epoxy now is dark orange and looks very bad. Elmer's has yet to turn color on me, holds tight and strong with very little and has the added bonus of, if you make a mistake or something needs correcting, a soak in warm water will soften the glue enough to make it flexible or remove it entirely so you can redo it easily.

I do have to also add that it takes a little while for it to set up and this has the bonus for me of being able to glue in all the teeth, set the jaws together and then re adjust each tooth so that they line up against each other perfectly. If you epoxy or super glue them in, it sets up fast but the teeth might not end up exactly where you would like them. In a horned euro where you are just doing the top skull it may not matter but I do a lot of carnivores and other animals where both jaws are part of the specimen.

It's Elmers white glue for me! Just don't use glitter glue, unless you want your deer to have a "grill"!!!

Super glue works great for me. Just don't glue yourself to the skull. Done that a few too many times, but acetone (fingernail polish remover) sure helps with that.
