Used Rick Carter's DVD and a buddy's early season PA Whitetail. Any and all comments/critiques are welcome.

What jumped out at me is the deer's left eye lashes look good, however, the deer's right eyelashes point out instead of down about 45 degrees.

Looks darn good for your first one. I would put a little more clay under the right upper eye lid to get the lashes at a 45 degree.

Looks very good for a first or 50th. Make sure your inner ear hair rolls in. Good job

Thanks for the positive feedback, One thing that i noticed is the eyes shrunk a lot during the drying process. I actually intended them to be a little bit more relaxed then they turned out. Any advice on how to address this issue?

I've re-hydrated my eyes many times to rework them, if you are using a tanned cape. Just put it back on your stand and turn it to the side so the eye is flat, then put a very damp rag over it and keep it wet for 2 days, it will soften up. I do like your left eye, it looks good.

the thinner you get that skin around the eye, the less you'll have to fight that IMO
