I keep mine in the refrigerator. Keeping it cold helps slow the setup time also when it's mixed up .

I keep mine in the freezer. Even though the cans are sealed I had the smell can soak into garlic bread and 2 cloth ice packs and things like that. So I recommend keeping it in a freezer without food.

Yes, my fridge smells like Masters Blend even with the lids on tight.

 

I keep mine in the fridge because I'm paranoid, but several friends keep theirs in the freezer with no issues.

 

I just got my first cans and reading this makes me rethink why :

a) I didn't receive any directions?
b) keeping it in my studio on the shelf instead of my freezer full o birbs

I've always been hesitant to use this stuff because of its quick set up/ hazards but the "feet injection fluid" I have used in the past does NOTHING but leak out and make a mess. (Yes I use pins etc. to try and keep the fluid in)

 

Mine is stored in the frig in a zip lock baggie, no smell.

I don't keep food in the shop refrigerator so no problem there with the stored Masters' Blend.And keeping the Masters' Blend cold helps slow down the set time.

I keep it in my shop fridge. It does not seem to have a negative effect on beer stored in the same fridge.

 

I have never had a issue with it getting remotely thicker. I end up using the smaller kit every year or 2.

 

YES. Everyone calm down, the beer is fine.

 

I store Masters Blend at room temperature. The two components of this product are very moisture sensitive and, once opened, you have to spray a small amount of "dry air" into the containers before replacing the lids. Unfortunately the taxidermy supply companies will not tell you this or sell the dry air product as they want your unused portions to go bad so that they can sell you more. Smooth-On sells a small aerosol can just for this purpose called XTend-It. Other companies sell a similar product called Magic Blanket. I've kept partially used containers of urethanes relatively fresh for years at room temperature by giving them a short blast of dry air before they are resealed. Most chemical companies that manufacture these two part urethane mixes recommend storage at room temperature. To temporarily cool the components down prior to mixing in order to extend the working time is probably not an issue.

 

Never had an issue with the stuff getting thick. Been doing it for a long time.

 

At the other end of the spectrum I have and still do store mine in the shop fridge at all times. Yes condensate forms when I pull them out to use but I have not seen any negative impact while using it. I also do not blanket the cans with any inert gases before storing. Now that being said I can see where you are taking very good precautions with your product. I just don't see the need in it and mine stays in the fridge for long periods of times
