if this is in the wrong section, please let me know.
I have a black coyote that has the head mounted and the body is ready to be mounted that I want to sell. However I don't know, how to price it. I'll definitly post pictures on the post.
    Thanks!! :)

I have seen things like this go for around $300-$400 before, but personally I have never sold anything like it so I’m not 100% sure

Depends on the quality of the head, but I'd say Emers is spot on, might be able to push 500 because it's a black yote. Depends where you post it.

It all depends on the quality of the head and pelt, if it was poorly done it wouldnt be worth very much. And vice versa if its done well. I would be interested in seeing pictures

Caveat from what was already stated. It also depends on if open mouth, type and quality of base and habitat. Also have to consider that people aren't going to want to pay full price necessarily for something they didn't harvest/kill. For example...$500-$600 for coyote (extra $100 for open mouth), @$100 for a base, and @$50 for habitat. Usually if I do a coyote or similar size animal I will quote $700-$750 plus tax for a customer. Now if they don't pick it up and it sits in my shop for several months (depending on the circumstances)and I get an offer from another customer I will sell it at a minimum of $500-$600 to get it out of my shop. Make sure you send a 30-day notice to the original customer and give him/her a final opportunity to pay and pick it up first.

I believe the yote is intended to be sold as an unfinished soft mount

The original poster has never returned to this and hasn't been on since Jan 21, 2018, but, if it was intended as a "soft mount" what to ask is going to depend 100% on what the "finished" head looks like. 99% of these have ruined the hide for anything useful. Are the ears fully split and turned? Chances are not as almost all soft mounts I see have wrinkled, curled and distorted ears because no one wants to do them properly. Are the eyes a proper color or are they pink, blue or some other fantasy, non realistic color? Is the head realistic at all or was the hide just glued onto a non sculpted form? What shape is the rest of the hide in? Just because you paid $300 for it before and did the head, does not mean it is worth more now. Pictures tell a lot and there aren't any to go by. If the head hide can not be removed from whatever structure is under it without damage, the skin is of no value to anyone who would like to actually mount it. It certainly is not worth $300. Probably less than $200 but there are soft mount addicts that might pay that.

A picture is worth a thousand words. No way to give a price on anything without seeing it.
