Completing a European Skull Start to Finish

    In Texas, all you need to do this time of year is place the skulls in the soapy water in a black plastic container. Set it out in the sun, and let nature provide the heat. Change water as stated before til it stays clear.

    Here's an old post about temperatures and different kinds of fat/grease. I know it doesn't directly address your question but north of Texas the concern is usually getting a degreasing tub warm enough and some will overheat it. I found it interesting reading.

    Hopefully Kelly returns. Hasn't been back since the 24th of May. Yes, if you are doing deer, cervids, sheep .. that sort of animal the heat needs to be at 120 24/7 to move the grease out. Most predators and a lot of other animals do fine at a lower temp of 115 degrees.
