First, are you tanning deer hides or small mammals? Second, are you wanting to mount these animals or soft tan?
No you do not need to resalt a hide after you have flesh.. You will need to dehydrate it before you put it in the pickle. I quit salting my hides after I rough fleshed them and put them directly in the pickle.
If they are small mammals, get the large chunks of meat off the hide, and put the hide in directly in the pickle. Then after about 3 days, pull the hide and use a wire wheel to flesh completely. Brian Hendricks has a video series "Pickle to Thaw" that explains how to do it. (found on youtube) After you get it fleshed, put i back in the pickle for another day, then neutralize the hide and use the brush-on tan as directed.

I would wait to take the blood out until after you have tanned the hides. Then use Pert shampoo to wash the blood out. You can scrub harder after you tan the hide and don't have to worry about hair slippage.

Water makes a breeding ground for bacteria, that leads to hair slippage...
What brand of pickle & tanning oil are you using?

    Hope this helps.

I think a lot depends on what you're using to tan the hides with. Soft tan or mounting as woakley has said

Check out Brian Hendrick's videos on youtube about the pickle to thaw, and try the wire wheel for fleshing small game. It makes fleshing so easy! I think in the tutorial section there is a how to make a bird flesher, that's basically what it is.
